This journey transports experienced travelers to the extreme south of the island for one of the most unique wildlife experiences left on the planet.

Your Luxury Madagascar Holiday begins on arrival at Ivato International Airport where a Ker & Downey® Africa representative will welcome you to Madagascar. You will be transferred to Maison Gallieni, a historic boutique hotel located on a hillside above the hustle and bustle of Antananarivo. Unwind after your long-haul flight at the hotel’s garden swimming pool or explore the sights of this vibrant malagasy capital at your own pace. In the evening, you can savor local cuisine at the hotel.
After a refreshing breakfast overlooking Antananarivo, you will be transferred to the airport for your 3 hour charter flight to the south of the island. Upon arrival, a Ker & Downey® Africa representative will meet you and accompany you on a scenic drive to Fort Dauphin, a port-town-turned-holiday-destination surrounded by dazzling beaches. Here, you can enjoy dining at a local restaurant before venturing to the rustic Berenty Lodge, near the entrance Berenty Private Reserve – a reserve dedicated to the protection of Madagascar’s endemic lemurs. A highlight of your time at Berenty will be partaking in a guided walk through the reserve in search of the five species of Lemurs that live in the forest. In the evening enjoy a guided night walking tour.
Guests can enjoy wildlife viewing from the comfort of the lodge where resident ringtail lemurs frequently make an appearance, or explore Berenty Private Reserve on foot alongside expert guides. You wil alsol visit a museum in the reserve devoted to local cultural arts and crafts. Lunch is included at a restaurant and dinner at the lodge.
After a refreshing breakfast at Berenty Lodge, your guide will meet you to explore the reserve in the light of day. In the afternoon, you will board a private charter flight to Isalo National Park. Check-in to the Jardin Du Roy, a luxury lodge located on the southern boundary of the park. A highlight of your stay will be a full day excursion into Isalo National Park – a region marked by its impressive landscape consisting of deep canyons, natural pools and vertical rock walls. Your adventure continues in Tapia forest – the last surviving forest in the Malagasy highlands – for a picnic lunch followed by time at leisure at the hotel.
Guests can relax at the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool, indulge in a spa treatment or explore the property on horseback. A highlight of your stay will be exploring Isalo National Park on a guided 4×4 tour before visiting the last surviving forests in the Malagasy highlands, Tapia forest.
After breakfast at Jardin du Roy, you will be transferred to the airstrip near Isalo National Park and board a private charter flight to the west of the island. En route, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the most remote and pristine region in Madagascar, Makay. Your journey takes you to Morondava beach where you will check in to Palissandre Côte Ouest. This beachside hotel is conveniently located for guests looking to visit the Avenue of Baobabs – a small stretch of dirt road flanked by majestic baobabs, some over 1000 years old. After a guided tour of the ‘Allée des Baobabs’, you will return to Palissandre Côte Ouest for time at leisure where you can enjoy an array of activities from paddle boats, windsurfing and snorkeling. Take the local cuisine with dinner at the hotel.
After a refreshing breakfast, you will be transferred to the local airstrip for a private charter flight to Anjajavy. En route, you will disembark at Majunga for lunch before continuing your journey to Relais & Châteaux Anjajavy l’Hôtel. Located on the remote northwestern edge of Madagascar, Anjajavy l’Hôtel is only accessible by air and is surrounded by 450ha of pristine wilderness. Check-in to your luxurious rosewood villa and soak up views of the ocean and perhaps a few lemurs dancing in the trees from your private deck before enthralling in all that the reserve has to offer. Your time at Anjajavy can be spent reconnecting with nature on guided walks through the reserve, snorkeling and sailing excursions and kayaking through the verdant mangroves followed by dinner served under the stars. A member of Relais & Chateaux, Anjajavy l’Hôtel is located on the northwestern edge of Madagascar within a private reserve. The resort features 24 luxurious rosewood villas each fitted with a private deck overlooking the ocean. Guests can also enjoy the oceanfront rim swimming pool, restaurant and a bar. Many activities are possible.
There are an array of activities to fill your day at Anjajavy l’Hôtel. Time at leisure can be spent viewing lemurs from the comfort of your deck or lounging by the pool. Embark on guided nature walks through the reserve or enjoy snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, fishing and kayaking. Lunch and dinner at the hotel is included.
After a refreshing breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Antananarivo and onward journey home. The flight arrives around 11h00 (it is a 2 hour flight) on a Tuesday \ Thursday \ Saturday.
