Starting in Cairo, lose yourself in the bustle of Khan El Khalili market and witness the grandeur of the Great Pyramids of Egypt, before making your way to Aswan to set sail down the Nile. Explore the famed ancient burial chambers of The Valley of the Kings and ultimate relaxation on the shores of the Red Sea. With all your comforts cared for and questions answered by expert Egyptologists, this trip is one for the books!
Your Luxury Egypt Experience begins on arrival at Cairo International Airport where a Ker & Downey® Africa representative will meet you and assist you through customs and immigration. From here, you will be accompanied to Kempinski Nile Hotel – a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Cairo and overlooking the Nile River. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure at the rooftop pool, or unwind at the in-house spa before exploring the wonders of this historical capital. Your time in Cairo includes a walking tour of the city, Ibn Tulun Mosque, and Khan El Khalili market, a private guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, as well as excursions to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Saqqara, the Tomb of Mihu, and the Tomb of the Butchers.
Today you will journey to Abu Simbel – an impressive rock temple on the southern border of Egypt dedicated to Pharaoh Ramses and his wife Nefertari. The giant statue has been standing for over 3,200 years and flanks the entrance to one of the most impressive temples in this country’s history. After some time exploring, you will be transferred to Movenpick Aswan Hotel on Elephantine Island. In the evening, you can look forward to a tranquil felucca sailboat ride on the Nile as the sun dips below the horizon.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you and accompany you to the Temple of Isis on the island of Philae. Today marks the start of your Nile River cruise aboard the luxurious M/S Mayfair to Luxor. Your cruise will take you to some of the most sought-after historical sites in Egypt. Join the onboard Egyptologist on an excursion to Kom Ombo Temple – home to crocodile mummies that are thousands of years old, the Temple of Horus in Edfu – the most intact temple of the ancient world, the Valley of Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and Karnak – the largest religious complex ever built for a god. You will also stop at the Nubian village near Aswan where you can learn more about this vibrant culture. Your journey ends at Luxor, home to some of Egypt’s most significant surviving ancient monuments, temples and tombs.
Day eight marks the final day of your luxury cruise. After breakfast, you will disembark the M/S MayFair for your onward journey to the El Gouna. En route, you will stop in Qena, a city located on the east bank of the Nile, where you will have the opportunity to explore the Temple of Dendera – a temple dedicated to the Hathor, the goddess of joy, laughter and music. Continue your journey to Mövenpick Resort and Spa located in the seaside town of El Gouna. The luxury resort offers breathtaking views of the Red Sea and gives your direct access to an array of exciting water sports activities including kitesurfing and diving. When you’re not getting active, you can unwind on the beach, at one of the 3 swimming pools, or at the wellness-spa. In the evenings, enjoy dinner at Palavrion or enjoy superb seafood at El Sayadin, directly on the shores of the Red Sea.

Check-in and enjoy the hotel’s outdoor pool, get a workout in at the fitness center, and dine at one of the in-house restaurants to savor international flavors.

Day eleven marks the final day of your Luxury Egypt Experience. After a hearty breakfast at Le Meridien Cairo Airport, you will check-out and make your way to the international terminal for your onward journey home.
