Besides daily safari activities at Feline Fields, travelers have the opportunity to learn from the local Bushman of Botswana. The lodge works closely with the Bushman communities of the Kalahari, affording travelers a genuine experience of the way of life led by the indigenous inhabitants of this fascinating region. Through guided bush walks, travelers can gain an insight into the Bushmen’s spirituality and relationship with nature. Guests can also learn about veld delicacies, natural remedies, culture, and folklore from the bushmen.
Three Pool Suites, three Bush Suites, one Family Villa and the mobile Khwai Camp make up the accommodation at Feline Fields. Each suite is situated on the edge of a wooded area and were created to blend in with the surroundings, preserve them, and provide unrestricted views of the Kalahari landscape. The suites are built on a 1,000 square foot raised wooden terrace made from sustainably sourced oak and are spaced apart to allow each guest privacy. Open-air buildings made of wood, clay, and thatch have been skillfully constructed to shield guests from the elements. The main lodge features a modern lounge with a view of a welcoming 25-meter pool, while this oasis in the desert is completed by a charming bar, library wing, and decorated lapa seating around a cozy fire.
