Tucked away within a riverine tree line, Machaba Camp is a traditional-style safari camp located in the game-rich Khwai Concession that offers privacy, breathtaking river views, and exquisite cuisine. The concession covers 86,000 acres in the northeastern region of the world-renowned Okavango Delta and shares its westerly border with the Moremi Game Reserve where wildlife abounds.
There’s always something to do at this purpose-built camp, from walking safaris under the care of a highly trained and knowledgeable guide to bird watching. Exploring the area by a traditional mokoro offers guests the chance to view elephant and buffalo herds up close and see details that you would otherwise miss on land. Night safaris and cultural exchanges can also be arranged.
This iconic 1950s style safari camp is well stocked with eco-luxury tented rooms that contain an ensuite bathroom, contemporary bedroom, patio deck, relaxation area and romantic outdoor showers. Feel close to nature with only one layer of canvas separating you from the wild while enjoying the opulence of electric lamps, mini safes, fans and running cold and hot water.
