Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge is situated in the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve in the southwestern region of the wildlife oasis that is the Greater Kruger National Park. Chiseled into a slope of the earth and inconspicuous within the landscape, Earth Lodge uses texture, light and space that culminates in a luxury safari lodge like no other. With the natural surroundings at its core, it has been described as the most environmentally sensitive lodge in Africa.
The distinct habitat in which Earth Lodge lies is renowned for its extraordinary sightings of the Big 5, cheetah and wild dog. Some 200 other animal species are also indigenous to the area as well as an impressive 350 bird species. Every morning and evening you will depart from the lodge into the wilderness in search of these African icons, either by open vehicle or on foot, accompanied by your experienced field guide and Shangaan tracker.
Everything at this luxury safari lodge exists in perfect harmony and contributes toward a sense of calm. There are 13 innovative, ultra-luxurious suites, each with individually designed furniture, private plunge pool, ensuite glass fronted bathroom and indoor and outdoor shower. Natural wooden sculptures by well-known South African artist Geoffrey Armstrong adds an influential touch. Other top-notch facilities include an indoor and outdoor dining area that overlooks a waterhole, wine cellar, well equipped gym and Amani Spa.
